Java course design sample

Import into a new, unpublished Canvas sandbox course.

1. In Settings, choose Import Course Content.
2. Select Canvas Course Export Package and upload Java_Course_Design_Sample.imscc.
3. Review the imported module and the 6-point assignment rubric. The quiz contains two manually graded questions worth 2 points each, with a 4-minute time limit and one attempt.
4. All learning items start unpublished. The Java starter and handout files are locked and hidden. Unlock those files when preparing student access. Keep the optional teaching notes unpublished unless you intend to share the solution.
5. Set dates and any timing accommodations before publishing student-facing content.

The package uses Canvas extensions and Classic Quiz-style written questions. Check any migration warnings and your local quiz settings after import.

Validation: ZIP integrity, XML parsing, resource links, and Canvas extension schemas have been checked. A live Canvas import has not been tested.
